Hi, my name is Matt Slotten and I have too many hobbies. Computing, cars, motorcycles, electronics, music, trains, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, rock climbing, photography, woodworking, home automation, and spending time with my lovely wife, and two pups.

My trade is technology, where I work at the intersection of product, engineering, and technical marketing. I have a passion for automation and forward leaning technologies. I have a soft spot for IT infrastructure and am a huge advocate for open source software. I’ve had the fortunate experience in my career to gain and understanding of computing from the ground up - from the bits and bytes written on disk, to complex and secure orchestration and automation achieved through platforms like Kubernetes and gitops. While I’m not a coder, I don’t shy away from bash, python, SQL, or javascript.
